UMA works across ten counties: Abbeville, Anderson, Cherokee, Greenville, Greenwood, Laurens, Oconee, Pickens, Spartanburg, and Union.

Our Approach

Our primary goal is to champion policy and investments that help communities tackle their mobility challenges. We connect communities with industry experts and decision makers to assist in the planning and piloting of mobility solutions, and we leverage our experiences across these communities to further advance a regional approach to connectivity.

Our Focus

UMA’s work is divided into four main focus areas. Each area is led by a group of volunteer Task Force members who represent private, public, rural, urban, and sector-related fields.
