Greenville Connects Study Shows $2B Impact for Expanded Service

Our friends over at Greenville Connects released a much-anticipated economic impact study detailing how expansion of the GreenLink bus system (frequency and routes) will add to our local economy.

The numbers are in, and they are impressive.

$2,000,000,000 - that’s $2 Billion.

The study looked at the impacts of increasing frequency of all routes from every 60 minutes to every 30 minutes, and also the addition of 15 new routes that would stretch from Travelers Rest to Fountain Inn - taking the total number of routes to 27.

The economic impact of this expansion, driven by increased ridership and the economic activity related to those riders, would give the County a $2 billion boost.
