2nd Annual SC Rural Transit Day

The Upstate Mobility Alliance is proud to be co-hosting the 2nd Annual SC Rural Transit Day alongside the SC Local Technical Assistance Program (SCLTAP) and the Transportation Association of SC (TASC).

This year’s event will be held on July 10, 2024 at Clemson University in the Madren Conference Center.

Celebrated nationally, Rural Transit Day highlights the importance of public transit in our nation’s rural communities and their health, vibrancy, education, and workforce.

This year’s Rural Transit Day will feature guest speakers such as SC DOT Secretary Justin Powell, SC Department of Employment & Workforce Director William Floyd, elected officials, transit leaders, and more. The day also includes three community tour options to highlight how transit is impact the Clemson/Anderson area’s workforce, healthcare, and higher education. The day will wrap up with a reception at the Madren Center.

Registration is $60 and is open to the public. Special rates are also available at two nearby hotels.
